Kit Shop

The Kit Shop is just getting under way with the recent delivery of our new Association beret's. There soon will be Regimental crests, ties and other accoutrements available for you to purchase. Len Wohlgemuth is the Chairman of the Kit Shop and if you want to contact him you can do so via email at kitshop@royal-westies-assn.ca

The beret you see was months in the making. The first shipment we received were the wrong color. We have now worked with the supplier and found the appropriate color. Why this color? What is your guess? Check below for the answer.

Update - As you can see the right beret is now in. As a result of kind donations from our Member's, The City of New Westminster and the Italian community with the Roma Hall, the berets were fully paid for.

Beret

Answer - The Lincoln Green color is what the patch was for the 4th Infantry Division in WWI and the Maroon backing of the badge is the 5th Armoured Division color in WWII. Both colors are significant to the Regiment's history in both wars.

6 June 2007 - For Associatin members, to get your beret, FREE, you can drop by the Museum of The Royal Westminster Regiment and pick it up. The museum is open Tuesday & Thursday from 10am to 2pm. You can call the museum to arrange an appointment if you wish. 604-526-5116.

If you live out of town, you must supply your hat size or the measurement of your head, send in $5.00 for postage to the Association post box and a beret will be mailed to you.
