In February 2007, eight members
of The Royal Westminster Regiment were sent to Afghanistan for
six months as part of the Battle Group deployed there. The
soldiers are serving with 2nd Battalion The Royal Canadian
Regiment.
In order to support our troops,
we are asking people to send them a post card and to offer
greetings from home to let them know we are thinking of them and
support them in their mission.
Update September 2007. All
of the soldiers have returned to Canada and have ended their
mission. Unfortunately the Regiment lost one soldier in the
conflict. Master Corporal Colin Bason was killed on 4 July 2007.
Please go to the
page dedicated to Colin.
